Paper Waves takes place on the first Saturday night of the month at Gene & Peta, 460 Glen Huntly Road, Elsternwick.

Sean M Whelan is a poet and playwright. He has published two books of poetry, Love is the New Hate and Tattooing the Surface of the Moon. His first play Everything: All The Time enjoyed a sold-out season at the 2013 Melbourne Fringe Festival. All The Animals We Ate his second play was performed at the 2015 Melbourne Fringe. He also works extensively with musicians, most notably Isnod and The Interim Lovers. He has performed his work widely both nationally and overseas in the USA, Canada, Indonesia and New Zealand. In 2014 he was awarded a Creative Fellowship at the State Library of Victoria. He is also a co-producer of the long held multi-arts event Liner Notes. He is currently working on a new collection of poetry and new recordings.

Benjamin Solah is a writer, poet, spoken word artist, activist and the Director of Melbourne Spoken Word. He grew up in Western Sydney before calling Melbourne home in 2008, where he's performed since 2010 around Melbourne's regular spoken word and poetry nights including Passionate Tongues, The Dan Poets, Voices in the Attic and House of Bricks as well as the NGV and White Night. He's released a chapbook, broken bodies, and two spoken word albums, Duel Power with Santo Cazzati and The World Doesn't Make Sense EP.
