Born and bred in South Africa, multi-platform writer and performer Chalise van Wyngaardt lives and breathes for the power of words to rouse a crowd and change minds. She combines heavy issues of faith, love, sexuality, culture, politics, addiction and identity with abstract mythology and historical exploration. Her quest: to weave together a comprehension of fractured connections between the human and the divine – and the pilgrimage has scarcely begun.
