Mother Tongue Presents: APS Victorian Heat

In a twist of style, Mother Tongue is partnering with the Australian Poetry Slam this Oct to bring you our FIRST EVER SLAM event!

TWO finalists will go through to the State Finals for a chance to compete for the title of Australian Poetry Slam Champion 2020.

Slam Rules:
Performing writers have two minutes to inspire judges randomly selected from the Zoom audience with their original lyrics, stories, raps or whatever they do with words.

The two highest-scoring slammers from the VIC Slam hosted by Mother Tongue compete at the 2020 APS VIC Final, slamming it out for the chance to represent their state at the 2020 APS National Final.

Usual Mother Tongue restrictions apply:

Please don’t attend with people under the age of 12.

Please be aware that strong and possibly triggering it inappropriate content is common and all attendees under 18 need to be briefed on this before you (as their guardian) bring them to the event.

Slam slots are open to Women and Women identifying Enbie/Gender Fluid humans of all body types.
