Poets’ Corner presents: Alan Pentland

Alan Pentland features at Poets’ Corner’s first gathering at our new home of The Flinders Golf Club.
Alan was a poet / architect / cabaret artist / comedian / tv performer / technical writer and corporate “communications expert”. He ran Melbourne’s first stand up club, Le Joke, was a key player in the multi-Logie, tv comedy, Fast Forward and has won awards at three international film festivals. In 2017 Alan re-embraced his inner Dylan Thomas, returning to poetry and performance, winning a Slam competition and other poetry awards, culminating in the Melbourne Spoken Word Prize. He does get a bit needy and obsessive.
During COVID Alan planted thousands of trees, but writing and performing are the threads that tie it all together. He is thrilled to return to Poet’s Corner – a great group, in the fabulous new venue. It will be fun.
