Radio Laria is proud and excited to present the Melbourne launch of the Girls on Key anthology “Shoot the Breeze“. Shoot the Breeze is a celebration of women’s friendship and our launch is going to keep that celebration flowing. Poets Farah Beani, Alex Creece and Phoebe Perera will be sharing their contributions to the anthology, alongside their other fantastic poetry. Tickets are $10 full or $5 concession and are available from:
https://www.stickytickets.com.au/6WJCX
We will also have tickets on the door. Doors open 7pm and the live poetry kicks off at 07:30.
We hope to see other Shoot the Breeze contributors on the open mic; and we extend the warmest of invites to all poets to come along and share their poems, or stories of friendship. All genders are welcome, sign up on the night, 10 slots available and 5 minute limit. The audience is very supportive and we welcome new readers.
Our venue Open Studio (204 High St, 3070) is Northcote institution for culturally amazing gigs. Come along and join this warm, vibrant poetry community and don’t forget about Open Studio’s yummy crepes!
For those if you who would like to come but don’t live in Melbourne, Brendan Bonsack is recording the gig and excerpts will be played on the 3CR spoken word show. Massive thanks and appreciation to Brendan and 3CR Radio!
