Slamalamadingdong REBORN Feat. Candy Bowers
July 8, 2021 @ 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
Join us for our very first 3 round Slam of 2021 as we settle into our new home at the newly renovated Evelyn Hotel.
We’re thrilled to be bringing back the slam after Melbourne’s Lockdown 4.0 caused us to postpone.
Sometimes everything works out for the best and we can now host a sizeable audience and reignite the original Slama vibes in this new space, in a safe way.
We’ve also upgraded the visual and audio quality of our global live stream and on demand replay, so it’s never been easier to connect with trailblazing voices and extremely creative, thought provoking content from Melbourne’s spoken word poetry community.
Depending on your ticket selection, you can be watching the poets only a few feet away from the stage or from the comfort of your own couch.
IN THE FLESH – In Person – $25
COMFY COUCH – Live Stream – $20
WATCH PARTIES – Live Stream – discounted
A new way to watch we are *beta* testing in collaboration with acclaimed, seasoned, champion Poets. Watch this space.
ON DEMAND REPLAY – $12
Tickets will be available on the door if we don’t sell out.
OPEN DOOR POLICY – we will never turn anyone away. Selling tickets allows us to pay our producers, venue and artists appropriately. It also helps us make a small profit margin so we can continue to thrive and grow as an organization. We donate 2% of our income to Pay the Rent.
This being said, if you are struggling financially and feel the need to participate, please advocate for yourself and send us a message so we can find a way to make sure you recieve all the Slama goodness.
SLAM BEGINS: 7pm
POETS: Please purchase a $5 poet ticket to register to compete*
*We currently confirming with the previously signed up poets who can still compete, and will make an announcement if there are any new spots available!

We’d like to send out a HUGE thank you to our current ticket holders who have been supportive and patient while our producers worked to reignite this event due to the postponement we needed to make from Melbourne’s Lockdown 4.0
You are everything to us!
The Evelyn Hotel has disability access. ***Apologies fam, we realize this is vague. One of our producers will be making a site visit to the newly renovated venue this week. We will provide more details here as soon as we can.
