Has an Open Mic?
Message Ms Millie's FB page to sign up: https://www.facebook.com/msmilliespopups/
Ms Millie’s Pop Up Poetry is food for the mind, soul and sweet tooth. Jay J Larkin brings people together once a month to read poetry to each other whilst eating sweets – brownies, pecan pie, cheesecake – and drinking tea and coffee in an intimate space, with couches and rugs.
The open mic is open to spoken word of all types, from well-seasoned poets amateurs, urban style spoken word to classical sonnets to storytelling.
What is a week without words? A week without expression? A week without reaching into your core and pulling out all the mess and guts and laying them out for the world to see?
Come down to Thornbury Lentil As Anything every Wednesday to reveal a round-up of weekly thoughts, ideas, poems, and spoken word stories to keep the heart pumping and the mind reeling.
Experiment your style with an open and welcoming audience!
Starts at 6pm.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE / ALL AGES
